SUMMARY ITINERARY
Your journey begins with a scenic drive to the Maasai Mara, home to the Big Five and the world-famous Great Migration from July To Mid October. Enjoy extensive game drives across the golden savannahs and immerse yourself in Maasai culture with an optional village visit.
Next, travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its endangered rhinos, tree-climbing lions, and the shimmering lake often fringed by flamingos. Here, you’ll experience a rich blend of wildlife against the backdrop of the dramatic Rift Valley escarpments.
Continue to the tranquil shores of Lake Naivasha, where you can take a relaxing boat ride among hippos and birdlife or walk alongside wildlife on Crescent Island. The cool, peaceful atmosphere offers a perfect break before the next adventure.

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. Our driver-guide will meet you at the scheduled time, assist with your luggage, and brief you about the journey ahead. Safari Hats will be handed to you.
You will then depart Nairobi for the scenic drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes approximately 5–6 hours, with the first part on smooth roads as you travel through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you’ll have a chance to stop, stretch, take photos, and enjoy the breathtaking views.
After the viewpoint, the road continues through small towns and into the countryside. As you approach Maasai Mara, the road may become bumpy and rough due to the off-road terrain, but you’ll start to spot local wildlife, Maasai villages, and vast open plains—signaling that you are close to the reserve.
You will arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch or check-in, depending on your departure time from Nairobi, followed by an afternoon game drive inside the park.
Your professional driver-guide will take you through the scenic plains in search of the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos – along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and countless bird species and a witness of the Great Wildebeest Migration from July to September. The golden light of the afternoon sun creates ideal conditions for photography, making every moment picture-perfect.

You will drive across different parts of the reserve in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, leopards, and many more animals in their natural habitat. Your guide will take you to the best spots, including river areas where you may see hippos and crocodiles.
You will drive deep into the plains, following animal tracks, riverbanks, and woodland areas in search of the Big Five and other iconic species. Your picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot—often near the Mara River or under an acacia tree—allowing you to dine in the heart of the wild while surrounded by uninterrupted nature.

After breakfast and check-out from your lodge or camp in Maasai Mara, you will begin your road trip to Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey that takes around 5–6 hours, depending on road conditions.
The drive starts along rough, dusty roads as you exit the Maasai Mara conservancy, passing through open savannahs, Maasai villages, grazing cattle, and traditional manyattas (homesteads).
Once you reach the main road, the route becomes smoother as you travel through small towns like Narok, where you may stop briefly for refreshments and for your picnic lunch.
From there, the road continues through the beautiful Great Rift Valley, offering breathtaking views of valleys, hills, and farmlands.
Head direct in the afternoon hours, enjoy a relaxing game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rich wildlife and beautiful lake views. As the day cools, animals become more active, giving you a chance to spot white and black rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and if lucky, tree-climbing lions. The lake often attracts flamingos and other bird species, adding color to the scenery. After breakfast and check-out from your hotel in Nakuru, you will depart with your packed picnic lunch and begin the scenic drive to Lake Naivasha. It’s a short and pleasant drive of about 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing time to stop at a safe and scenic spot to enjoy your picnic lunch—either at a designated viewpoint or upon arrival in Naivasha.
Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll glide across the calm waters surrounded by beautiful scenery. During the boat ride, you can spot hippos relaxing in the water, as well as many bird species such as fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. The experience is quiet, refreshing, and perfect for photography.
After the boat ride, you will head to Crescent Island, a private sanctuary where you can enjoy a guided nature walk. The island has no predators, so it’s safe to walk among free-roaming wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and gazelles. Walking close to the animals in their natural habitat makes this experience unique and unforgettable.
